About Me

Katemonster
I've been playing board games for over 20 years and was recently inspired to create my own board game blog. I have favourite games in virtually every genre, but I especially enjoy games that foster creativity, logical thinking and puzzle solving, cooperation, and social deduction, so those genres are most likely to be featured here. I'm also excited by themes that go beyond economic exploitation and generic fantasy/science fiction - I'm a scientist myself, driven by discovery over profit - and that's going to be reflected in my gaming preferences. And finally, I am half of a gaming couple, but my partner is relatively new to the hobby, so I plan to feature a fair number of games for two players, plus I'll occasionally ask him to contribute the perspective of a casual gamer.
